FLYING MONKEY ARTS CENTER MEMBERSHIP AND YOU

First and foremost, when you purchase a membership it supports The Flying Monkey Arts Center (Flying Monkey) in its' efforts to offer alternative art, entertainment, small independent business, and performance space to the public. Supporting the arts, in all its forms, is more important than ever before. Government funding at the city, county, state, and federal level continues to drop for mainstream and outsider art projects and organizations at alarming rates, and in order for organizations like The Flying Monkey Arts Center to offer viable alternative space, support from the public is an imperative.
The Flying Monkey Arts Center is an organization run entirely by volunteers who are deeply committed to all forms of art, with a special focus at the local level. The Flying Monkey is the only venue in this area that offers fairly priced art events to the public, and work space to artists and small independent businesses –all positioned in a rustic old factory setting with the kind of character you would encounter in large revitalized urban areas. It's re-use at it's finest. You will also find the Flying Monkey is dedicated to recycling and encourages patrons to do the same by providing cans for used plastic, aluminum, and glass at every performance or event.
The Flying Monkey Arts Center deserves your support. We keep our overhead as specific and as low as possible, and endeavor to create revenue streams that enable the space to continue without compromising our mission of serving the public, the artists, and promoting art of all kinds. Membership at The Flying Monkey Arts Center really matters!
Levels of Giving:

$25 - Spider - Free admission for 2 to 1 show during the year
$50 - Howler - Free admission for 2 to 2 shows during the year
$100 - Chimpanzee - Free admission for 2 to 4 shows during the year
$200 - Orangutan - Free admission for 2 to 10 shows during the year
$500 - Gorilla - Free admission for 2 to all shows during the year

(Contributions in bewteen levels or above the $500 level are always welcomed and deeply appreciated)
(Amount over show admission directly benefits The Flying Monkey's rent, insurance, and basic supplies)
(Membership card will be punched to track number of free shows attended by members)
Please remember that free admissions are not the only thing you receive of value for your membership. You will receive borrowing benefits from the Flying Monkey Media Center opening February 2007. You also will have the satisfaction of knowing that your membership is part of what makes The Flying Monkey Arts Center a thriving environment for artists in all fields, of all ages and ethnic origins, and from every walk of life. You are enabling artists to explore their areas of interest in an inspiring environment shared with others with mutual interests; providing a venue for the education and entertainment of all people; and supporting an organization that has a deep and abiding committment to the local experience.
