Welcome to all skill levels, no experience required. Single Class - $15 Five Class Card - $50, No experience necessary. Bring your own hoop or borrow one of ours. Bit Brigade, Oto Benga, Admission $7 (9PM) When Bit Brigade rolls into town, the gamer elite hang up the controller for the evening and see a rock show. With unprecedented attention to detail and post-rock bombast, Bit Brigade meticulously replicates every musical cue, cutscene and boss battle in perfect syncronization with master gamer Noah McCarthy's inspiring speed-trial run of each level. Composed of members of roadwarrior (both stateside and abroad) mathrock bands Cinemechanica and We Versus The Shark, Bit Brigade elevates game music to its proper place in the foreground of epic technical rock and plays the games like they don't need the extra lives. Which, for the record, they don't. Friday - 3rd - Monkey Speak, Admission $5 (8pm) Monkeyspeak is Huntsville's most exciting spoken word open-mic night, held the first Friday of every month. Readers of poetry, short stories and more are invited to participate. Mature audiences only Saturday - 4th - Tuxedo Junction with Rick Jobe, featuring Chip Gulbro and the lovely Leilani sponsored by Huntsville Swing Dance Society, General admission $10. Come see Alabama's best untelevised TV show featuring host Jonny ReQuest, the Shadowy Announcer, singing cigarette girl Louise Please, the dancing Pleasniks and special guests The Wrong Brothers. Your heart will increase in area and then in volume as it finally beats in 3D from feeling a connection with the music. Show starts at 9 pm. Tuesday - 14th - Rosewood, Fire & Steel (classical guitarist Phil Weaver & fireographer/sword-swallower Patricia Forrest) and critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Michelle Malone Valentine's Day Concert, Admission $12 (7pm) This Valentine's day the show at the Flying Monkey will be a double-header- the alternative classical-sideshow duo Rosewood, Fire, and Steel (classical guitarist Phil Weaver and fireographer/sword-swallower Patricia Forrest) and critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Michelle Malone performing solo acoustic. Here's a quote from the New York Times about Michelle- “the kind of singer and songwriter who can jolt things into overdrive”. A pre-concert meal will be available at the venue from Happy Tummy. Admission is $12 at the door, the start time is 7pm.
